ABOUT THE ROLE
VentureScope is seeking a Senior Principal Technical Advisor (Level IV) to provide senior-level technical and integration support across U.S. Space Force and Space Systems Command acquisition programs and mission portfolios.
This role focuses on ensuring technical rigor and integration alignment across complex systems, while supporting leadership with clear, decision-ready insights. You will help bridge the gap between engineering, acquisition, and mission execution, translating complex technical information into actionable guidance that informs planning, resource decisions, and operational priorities.
We are looking for a highly experienced professional who can operate across organizations, provide trusted technical insight, and contribute to strategic planning and innovation integration efforts. Pay Transparency Range: $250,000 - $290,000 / year
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Provide senior-level technical advisory support across acquisition programs and mission integration initiatives
Analyze complex system architectures and integration dependencies, identifying risks, gaps, and alignment opportunities
Translate technical information into clear, actionable insights to support executive decision-making
Support development of strategic plans, roadmaps, and implementation frameworks aligned to mission and organizational objectives
Contribute to resource alignment and planning efforts, ensuring technical considerations are reflected in priorities and investments
Identify opportunities to integrate emerging technologies and commercial capabilities to enhance mission effectiveness
Develop and support executive-level briefings, reports, and decision-support materials
Facilitate cross-organizational coordination across programs, portfolios, and stakeholders to improve integration and alignment
Serve as a technical liaison between leadership, program offices, and engineering teams
Mentor mid-level staff and provide guidance to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across deliverables
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Extensive experience supporting space systems, acquisition programs, or mission integration efforts
Strong ability to analyze and communicate complex technical architectures and system-of-systems interactions
Demonstrated ability to support executive decision-making through technical insight and analysis
Experience developing strategic plans, integration frameworks, or program roadmaps
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, decision-relevant communication products
Strong understanding of acquisition environments and mission priorities within DoD or Space Force
Proven ability to work across organizations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and technical teams
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Clearance eligible
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
20+ years of relevant experience in space systems, acquisition, engineering, or mission integration
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, STEM, or related field required
Master’s degree in engineering, business, public policy, or related field required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting Space Force, Space Systems Command, or Intelligence Community space programs
Familiarity with system-of-systems integration, MBSE, and architecture development
Experience supporting PPBE processes, resource planning, or acquisition strategy development
Exposure to innovation initiatives, technology transition, or commercial integration efforts
Experience supporting cross-portfolio integration or enterprise-level planning efforts
