ABOUT THE ROLE
VentureScope is seeking a Program Manager Level II to support mission-focused acquisition and innovation efforts across the U.S. Space Force and Space Systems Command, with emphasis on military space and emerging technology portfolios.
This role focuses on program execution, process management and integration, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring strategic communications initiatives are effectively coordinated across technical teams, leadership, and external partners. You will play a key role in helping translate program priorities into actionable plans, while supporting leadership with clear, decision-ready insights.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support high-visibility efforts. Pay Transparency Range: $160,000 - $185,000 / year
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support planning and execution of mission and acquisition programs, including tracking milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics
Coordinate activities across technical teams, program offices, and leadership stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress
Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and decision support materials
Track and manage program risks, issues, and action items, ensuring timely resolution and visibility to leadership
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve workflow efficiency and alignment between technical and operational objectives
Support development and implementation of program plans, schedules, and integration activities
Assist in organizing and executing stakeholder engagements, working groups, and industry interactions
Contribute to program reporting and performance tracking, including status updates and data analysis
Support coordination of innovation-focused initiatives, including engagement with non-traditional partners and emerging technology efforts
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience supporting program management, acquisition, or mission integration efforts in a government or defense environment
Strong ability to organize, track, and coordinate complex activities across multiple stakeholders
Experience developing executive-level briefings and reports
Ability to identify and manage risks, dependencies, and priorities across programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across technical teams and leadership
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and manage multiple efforts simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint)
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Clearance eligible
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of relevant experience in program management, acquisition support, or mission integration
Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, engineering, or related field required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in business, public policy, engineering, or related field
Experience supporting Space Force, Air Force, or defense acquisition programs
Familiarity with PPBE, acquisition lifecycle processes, and program documentation
Experience supporting stakeholder engagements, industry forums, or cross-organizational coordination efforts
Experience working with emerging technology or innovation-focused programs
